Songwriting Tips And Help For Writing Songs And Lyrics
Tips for guitar/songwriting?

I was wondering if anyone had tips for playing guitar or songwriting.

I’m into music like Elliott Smith, Nirvana, The Eels, Nick Drake, Death Cab for a Cutie, Damien Rice, and stuff like that.

I think you should always start out slow with the beat make the listener get the vibe, express your feelings. Then like 30 seconds later get the chorus started.

i totally agree. me and my brother always used to write songs together. i guess it was really special for us. we always wrote stuff personal. stuff we were going through, mostly about our parents and wishing we where 18. but they were cute and they sound stupid at first but to other people they are amazing. we made my mother cry.
